Freedom II is the upcoming album by group Everliven Sound consisting of Jamaican-rooted, UK-raised brothers Cymarshall Law (New Jersey) and Skit Slam (UK), coming to us at the exact time its needed to bring balance to the force known as Hip-Hop. Freedom II carries a vibe similar to their last album, Freedom (Freedom Entertainment, 2008), which was released to outstanding reviews across the globe. Both projects are overflowing with the same essential and rare musical quality – substance.
“Everliven Sound and the album’s sole producers Sweden’s The Beatnikz have created a masterpiece that’s been built with everything that made hip-hop great in the beginning: un-cut, gritty, soulful, fun music with a message for anyone that ever began to forget why they loved hip-hop in the first place. And of course for anyone looking for a little Freedom.” — Everliven SoundSongs “Get Up, Stand Up”, “Days of Faster”, “Elements” (feat. El Da Sensei) and “Know No” stand out amongst Freedom II’s 18 consistent tracks marked by good ole’ raw, original boom-bap hip-hop. The lyrical talent, immaculate wordplay and clever topics from the MC’s ensure they continue to compete with the best in their field. Entirely produced by The Beatnikz, described as Sweden’s finest, this beat team stays true to their own original production style – a sound that is fresh and forward, but still very accessible. Many of you already knows Cymarshall Law & Skit Slam as Everliven Sound for their previous release “Freedom” [BUY IT]. So you already know what to expect, Cymarshall Law with his unique flow + Skit Slam in a perferct shape + the Swedens finest producers The Beatnikz with some of the best beats of the indie market. All the Hipnott Records fans, who use to listen to artists like Spectac & Amiri, should support this release on June 22nd. Since 2009 Hipnott Records brings a unique hip hop sound made by some of the most interesting indie artists in activity, in the digi-era, Hipnott Records is trying to give visibility to the worldwide concept of hip hop, and this second volume of “Freedom” is the proof, a great collaboration between USA artists and European producers for more then a hour of hip hop that will not dissapoint you in any way. Maybe this time The Beatnikz beats are better then ever, the practice made them more selective in the sample choice and the drums are never boring. The Cymarshall Law flow is already well known to many and he’s able to ride The Beatnikz beats really well. Skit Slam? His work is essential for the success of this album, without him, in my opinion, the album would be boring. Tracks like “Elements featuring El Da Sensei” and “Crack and Electric Chair featuring Hakim Green” are real bangers.
