Expedyte from New Brunswick, Canada began creating his first solo full length LP titled “LIFE”, teaming up with good friend and producer Metropolis Votary (Toronto, Ontario). Not long after recording the first few tracks of the album in Halifax and placing them on Myspace, Expedyte caught the attention of Man Bites Dog Records (an independent label based in Virginia &Washington, D.C.) and was offered a record deal. While recording the album in Washington, Expedyte managed to obtain guest features from underground hip hop icons Killah Preist (Wu-Tang), Copywrite, Louis Logic (Demigods), Vast Aire, C-Rayz Walz and 2mex. He was also featured on a compilation entitled “The Swashbuckler” with legends RA the Rugged Man and Sonny Seeza from Onyx.
