The Educataz are Adjectives and Whiplash on rhymes and DJ Idlhnds on the 1200’s.

Hailing from Bellingham Washington, the three rain soaked childhood friendsswitched from consuming to creating conscious hip hop music during their highschool years and began performing at assemblies. The group felt it important toportray, through their lyrics, that young males have more on their minds thanperpetuating materialistic stereotypes, however, this message is laced with aclever sarcasm. By promoting a shameless humility, the educataz quicklycaptured the hearts of the local Bellingham hip hop heads, and released therelevent ep in fall 2003. In an attempt to expand, in october of 2004, thegroup took their chances with middle America and traveled, via mobile home, from the northwest to the north east. The mission involved hooking up withWesleyan University super producer Dave Ahl. In a short two months what wascreated was a magnificent new twist on a classic hiphop-jazz fusion. The eastwest collaboration produced the Selfish EP. Selfish is aimed attraditional heads who love original lyricstyles, and music lovers in general whowill be unable to deny the brilliance behind this production.
