After the success of half a million hits for the video ‘Cup Of Brown Joy’ Elemental (rapping) and Tom Caruana (beats and some rapping) release their joint album ‘Rebel Without Applause’.
The album contains tracks that are on the fun side of hip-hop and there are plenty of concepts to discover here. In between some of the vocal tracks are hilarious skits using spoken word samples that give the album depth and added humour. American legend Count Bass D joins the guys to rap on Pay Me A Visit a collaboration that brings out the best of all 3 MC’s.
Tracks like Cup Of Brown Joy, Ye Old School, Used To Say, Cartoon Baboon, Town Called Nowhere, Livin In The 90’s, and The Fairground are all concepts that the listener will be familiar with and finds themselves drawn into.
The album has various moods to it, and although there are lots of fun tracks, tracks like Later Than You Think and Patience reveal that both Elemental and Tom Caruana have something more serious to say too.
This album will satisfy both old fans (of Elemental, Tom Caruana and the Menagerie) and gain new ones. If you like Jurassic 5, Ugly Duckling, KMD and The Pharcyde you’ll love Elemental and Tom Caruana.
The circus has come to town, so come along and take a trip, we’re sure you’ll never leave!
