Esham is a detroit legend – those tapes ‘homey don’t play’, ‘erotic poetry’ and ‘blazin words’ are straight up hip hop classics holding up to anything released around the time. production was sample based and chopped…dont sleep before he got into that acid rap that kid was a 16 year dope mc over the tr808 by way of brooklyn, nyc. this might not be a great example but believe me he was the hardest from the detroit form 89-92!
