Aji Panca, projeto criado em meados de 2011 por dois companheiros
de cozinha com a ideia fundamental de fazer música. Nelson GNZ,
experiente MC, que na época já possuía quase 700 músicas gravadas
e Rafael Schumacher que ainda dava seus primeiros passos na
produção musical caseira, resolveram juntar forças. A ideia era
bem simples: Rafael produziria os beats e GNZ ficaria responsável
por compor e cantar. Assim, o projeto foi tomando corpo, as
músicas sendo produzidas e em maio de 2012 foi lançado o primeiro
EP sob o título “ESPANCA”. O EP contou com a participação do MC
Casperoots na faixa “Muito Mundo”, a ilustração da capa foi feita
pelo cartunista Luciano Fuzari e finalizada por Davi Fuzari.

Mesmo sem um conceito bem elaborado, as músicas do EP surgiram e
nelas algo comum veio à tona: Os beats pesados e mórbidos, as
letras sombrias e introspectivas dão o tom do projeto, fugindo
dos clichês do RAP, criando um universo pessoal recheado de temas
como bebedeiras, angústias, solidão… muito influenciadas por
escritores como Bukowski, Hunter Thompson, Kerouac, entre outros.

Outra singularidade do EP, é que os beats produzidos por
Rafael Schumacher (que assina suas produções como Velvo.) não são
produzidos na base geral que a maioria dos rapers utilizam:
o sample. Com formação musical vinda de outros estilos como o
Blues, Rock n’ roll, Funk e Soul, Rafael traz algo novo para seus
beats, mas sem perder a fibra do RAP, utilizando instrumentos como
guitarra, baixo e piano, além dos típicos samples e loops.

No momento, o Aji Panca produz seu segundo EP, que parte de uma
base e conceitos mais sólidos, como se o primeiro EP tivesse sido
um momento de criação de uma identidade e agora fosse o momento de
explorá-la mais a fundo. O novo EP já conta com participações como
o MC Ppu Profontaine e Hugobreakboy, que já vieram integrar a
família Aji Panca, além de outros que ainda virão.
