60 Second Assassin, cousin of the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard and founding member of the influential group Sunz of Man, has a voice you know and love. His street harmonizing has been heard on some of Wu-Tang’s greatest hits, including “C.R.E.A.M.” as well as Raekwon’s “Glaciers of Ice”. On June 22, 60 will be blessing us with his long-awaited debut album “Remarkable Timing”. The album is almost entirely produced by Bronze Nazareth, and features a host of Wu Killa Beez including the Sunz of Man reunion track “M.O.A.N.” In anticipation of this soon to be classic offering, DYP tha goldynchild, in association with M-Eighty, has assembled “The Retrospective: A Look Back”.

“The Retrospective” is a 25 track homage to the long and colorful career of
60 Second Assassin, and features classic cuts, rarities and plenty of new mixes in true DYP fashion. Feel free to spread it around, just make sure you
let ’em know where you got it from!

Philadelphia Beat-Smith Gets Set To Unveil His Debut Producer Compilation on Tuesday, June 29th

Jun 14, 2010 – Taking Nowhere, Somewhere is the debut LP from the Philadelphia beat-smith Cimer Amor that is scheduled for release on June 29th through Coalmine Records. Cimer, who represents one half of the CAEN Project, has been the boardsman behind several underground, indie smash singles over the years that have charted very high through U.S. college radio hip-hop charts such as RapAttackLives.com & Rap Network Record Breakers.

Cimer boasts an impressive discography that includes placements among a who’s who list of underground hip-hop icons such as Sabac Red (of Non Phixion), King Syze & Doap Nixon (of AOTP), Louis Logic, Side Effect & more. Cimer’s production talents were recently featured on the A&E televison program Philadelphia Parking Wars for his involvement on Side Effect’s single titled “Game Plan”.

On Taking Nowhere, Somewhere, Cimer takes his sound to new heights and expresses a broad diversity and fusion of soundscapes. From gritty boom-bap tracks like “You Know What It Is” featuring Sha Stimuli & King Magnetic to introspective songs like “Overtime” featuring Rockie Reyes to bouncy club records like “Chose Me” featuring the CAEN Project, Cimer delivers a producer compilation album that will put him in the rankings of producers to check for in 2010 and beyond!

Kutt Calhoun is an underground hardcore rapper from Kansas City, MS, affiliated with Tech N9ne and the independent label Strange Music. Born Melvin Calhoun in Kansas City, MS, he began his recording career in the late ’90s, appearing on the Snug Brim album Center Piece of the Puzzle (1998), where he was credited as “Cutt Dawg”. He subsequently began working with fellow Kansas City rapper Tech N9ne, initially serving as his hype man and later appearing on his album Absolute Power (2002). Around this same time he also appeared on releases by BG Bulletwound and Skatterman & Snug Brim. Following these guest features, Calhoun made his full-length solo album debut with B.L.E.V.E. (2004) on Strange Music, the label co-founded by Tech N9ne. Four years later, after numerous more guest features, he released his second album, Feature Presentation (2008), on Strange Music.
