An alumnus of the J Dilla & Madlib schools of thought, Raw Stiles explores the art of sampling with soulful, easy-listening instrumentals. Drawing upon an adolescence spent either DJing or in the studio, after working with such MC’s & producers as Kill Bill, War Spawn, and Fancy Mike, the Miami native finally shares his experiments for the public’s listening pleasure.

DJ Spinna returns to his roots on Underground Forever, unearthing a classic mix of independently released singles and sleeper favorites from the mid 90s. Before the era of online sharing and instant downloads, mixtapes were the lifeblood of the Hip Hop underground in New York. Names like DJ Premier, DJ Clue, DJ Doo Wop, Kid Capri, Enuff, Cipha Sounds and Tony Touch had their finger on the pulse of the city’s emerging backpack movement, which took the culture back to basics: self-released records, word-of-mouth buzz and musical innovation.
Shadow People are the hip-hop group consisting of rappers Josh Johnz and Broken English, along with DJ/Producer Audiodrome. Cousins Josh Johnz and Broken English, along with longtime friend Audiodrome, began working together as Shadow People in early 2007. For years Josh Johnz and Broken English played shows under the name Psymantiks performing throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul at such venues as Barfly, The Cabooze, The Red Sea, and The Dinkytowner among others. Psymantiks released The Bootleg Volume 1 in 2004. Shadow People’s music is best described as a combination of strategic beats underneath witty-aggressive lyrics.

Off Track III finds the New York/Boston-based pair shining light on another diverse array of underexposed vinyl. The eclectic African disco and soul cuts Amir highlights on his disc are Americanized by style but inherently authentic in feel, demonstrating the very best of the regionís dance music from the period following Fela Kutis mid-70s creative peak. Some standouts: Tee Macs 1980s insistently catchy Living Everyday; Effi Dukes percussive masterpiece The Time Is Come; and Christy Essiens glorious You Cant Change, which features famed bandleader Geraldo Pinos Show Train outfit. Also in the mix are a couple of cuts from unsung Nigerian star Dizzy K. Falola aimed at sophisticated dancefloors.

Based on the 1982 Cult Classic Kung Fu movie “Chinese Super Ninjas” by The Shaw Brothers, “The Five Elements” showcases tracks based off of 5 different elemental forces. The Five Elements EP takes these elements and relays them in raw form with gritty beats and in your face lyrics reminiscent of the 90s era Wu-Tang.

Suburban Noize Records
Anticipation for BLESTeNATION’s debut album has been building over the past few years as the group has blazed through the ranks of the New York hip-hop scene. Comprised of MC’s Various and Werdplay along with producer/DJ FAFU, BLESTeNATION bring an intense new sound to the world of hip-hop. The group has been turning heads with a series of MBC underground mixtapes that feature Travis Barker, Ladytron, Jadakiss and The Cool Kids to name just a few. That exposure helped them land tours alongside Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Scarface, Killah Priest, and a spot on the Warped Tour.
BLESTeNATION’s top-notch production skills have been heard on some of the biggest records in the business including releases by P-Diddy, Lil Kim, Moby, Method Man, and Tool’s Maynard James Keenan.
BLESTeNATION, originally signed to Geffen when Jimmy Iovine called them “The most promising group I have signed since Nine Inch Nails”, is now where they truly belong with Suburban Noize Records, alongside top selling underground hip hop acts like Kottonmouth Kings, La Coka Nostra and Swollen Members.

Well… it looks like The Chef isn’t the only Wu member bringing back a classic. Earlier today RZA confirmed rumors of him being on the producing end of GZA’s next album. With OBLCL2 being as amazing as it was is, I’m hoping for the best. But if I see/hear a Curtis diss (or anything of that matter) I’m throwing up in everyone’s cereal. Fact.
Minus Killa Sin who is still currently in prison & refuses to be a part of the album, check it out!
For years, there have been whispers of a Killarmy reunion…whispers that at times seemed like nothing more than wishful thinking dreamt up by nostalgic fans who refused to accept that the era of grimey, militant hip-hop was over. Half the members of the group never seemed to be able to stay out of prison, and those that did often and mysteriously chose to stay out of the spotlight. For almost a decade, fans have patiently waited for a follow up to 2001’s excellent “Fear, Love & War”, (a criminally slept on album that unfortunately coincided with the collapse of Loud Records, and therefore never got the push it deserved). Well, it seems now that the wait is over! Die-hard fans will finally have their thirst for that militant shit quenched this year, as the seminal collective known as Killarmy will be releasing their much anticipated fourth group effort later this year. The triumphant return kicks off in June with the premier of “The Sound of Gunz”, a Bronze Nazareth laced masterpiece which will reintroduce the world to “The 6 Man Wetting”. There is also an accompanying video in the works to provide the visual thrills. Look for a big announcement from Killarmy coming very soon. I have been told directly that production duties will be handled by all of the Wu-Elements’ heavy hitters: RZA, True Master, Allah Mathematics, 4th Disciple & Bronze Nazareth. Also, there will be guest shots from Clan members, as well as Killa Beez. This album is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Wu-related projects of all time.
Production will be handled by: Wu-Elements (RZA, 4th Disciple, Tru Master, Mathematics & Bronze Nazareth)
“Killarmy in ya galaxy, in your continent, in your state, in your city, take’em to war throw ya grenade this shit is gritty “

“In 2006, during a stint out west to promote his then new movie, Sacha Cohen, (aka Borat) met Daniel Dumile, better known as Zev Love X, or MF DOOM. Their blazing freestyle ciphers and mutual love of Purple Kush led to an impromptu recording of Doom’s ‘My Favorite Ladies’ verses (see Herbalisers’ Something Wicked…album) over a beat Borat had made back in ’05 with Kulki Boolchek, a Khazak producer. Later that year Doom ventured east, and recorded three more gems with Cohen at the castle of Rudolf II in Prague, renowned for its stone acoustics. DigDug bought the master off a based-out gypsy in East Oakland and the rest is history! **Please FREELY DOWNLOAD THESE GEMS**, as they have been labeled ‘Degenerate Music’ by the Putin administration and the whole album is banned in the greater East. Censorship will never extinguish true heat!” More infohere
