After hearing the incredible reinterpretations of some of Dilla’s classics done by ?uestlove and The Roots (check it out here) we all knew it was inevitable that someone would hop on of those pretty quickly. That someone happens to be Philly’s own Dice Raw, who steps to the challenge and more than holds his own. Dice wrote and recorded, the Dice, Dilla, Pregunta mixtape in less than a week. Features include Charles P Bailey, Rick Friedrich, and Yameen Allworld.

Weaving the mystical with the therapeutic, this lushly illustrated gathering of spiritual sound wisdom from throughout the ages, explores the use of sound as a vibrative tool for self-healing, sacred creation, and higher consciousness. An alchemy of sound that blends ancient wisdom teachings with hands-on exercises for inner attunement to expand and open new pathways within. As the soul navigates its journey through the Higher Realms, it follows a series of elemental sounds acting as a guideposts to designate a specific spiritual region. Many of these sounds are mirrored here on earth through the purity of nature. We are drawn to the beauty of tribal cultures that use mystical sounds, song, dance and spoken word. If you are to examine the basic beliefs of the different spiritual paths on Earth, you will find a commonality in the belief that the world and in fact, the universe was created by sound. From the OLD TESTAMENT, it read “And the Lord said ‘Let there be light’.” In “St. John”, from the NEW TESTAMENT come the words “In the beginning was the WORD…”In the VEDAS of the Hindu tradition, it reads, “In the beginning was Brahman with whom was the word and the word was Brahman.” The Hopi Tradition tells of the Spider Woman singing the Song of Creation over all the inanimate forms on the planet and bringing them to life. In POUL VUH from the Mayan tradition, the first real men and women are created solely through the power of sound. In ancient Egypt comes the story of the Thoth, who spoke the names of objects and brought them into being. In Polynesia, the Gods blew a conch shell and created life. In the East, Divine beings struck a giant gong. On and on, different cultures and traditions throughout the world seem to posses within their religions, spiritual paths, and mythologies, an understanding of some extraordinary primordial sound that opened up gateways of manifestation and brought forth existence onto the earth plane. Subsequent to my own experience of healing with sound, I began to examine sacred sounds from the many varied traditions on this planet and compare them. I have done this, not to find their differences, but to find their commonality. It is my belief that sacred sounds stem from one source-the Divine-and that the truly resonant waveforms of the sacred could sound together in harmony, despite any differences in their spiritual traditions. I am aspiring to bridge the worlds of sacred sound, healing tones, meditation, hip-hop, world rhythms, and natural sound environments. I trust that you will enjoy this album and that it will assist in your health, chakra resonance, balance and personal transformation.

B-HAM AKA the Righteous Rook [email protected] B-HAM epitomizes the term “MC”, master of ceremonies, mic. controller, mind controller, etc… 2010 on the verge of 30 years old, has been rapping since the age of 13. Now refered to as Righteous Rook, an alias given to him by his friend/producer – “Lord Mayor” of “64Squares”. B-HAM” began his voyage into hip-hop music as a spontaneous freestyler. Rapping every line from the top of his mind, no written words, no notepad. In 1997 he performed on stage for the first time along with Lil’ KeKe and the Hearshalwood HardHeads of the Screwed Up Click. The event was actually a freestyle contest where “B-HAM” took first place amongst 12 other rappers. This was the jump start of his confidence and career as an MC. After this event a good friend encouraged him to begin writing his lyrics down and contruct actual songs. B-Ham took heed to his friends advice and started his first group, “FlipDaScrip”. Artist included life long friends and younger brother, Du-Dirty, Archie Slim, JU, and 2H. “FlipDaScrip” was the talk of the town in the late 90’s. Featuring at shows for artists such as “Juvenile” of Cash Money Records, “South Park Mexican”, “Scarface” of the Ghetto Boys, “Big Pokey”, “Three2” and “Lil KeKe” of the Screwed Up Click, etc… “FlipDaScrip” recorded their first written/freesyle CD in 2000′ and later broke up due to creative diffrerences with their management team. In 2001′ “B-HAM” won “Down South Baddest” freestyle contest hosted by 97.9’s “Madd Hatter”. The contest featured artists from the East/West coast and many other National artists. Out of 25 contestants “B-HAM” took the prize, 2 trophies and 1,000 dollars. This event only encouraged him to keep doing what he had been doing and also pushed him to continue writing songs. At the time was offered a record deal with “WreckShop Records” wich he did not accept because of creative freedom. In 2001′ was featured on DJ DMD’S third nation wide album along with “Pimp C” of UGK from Port Arthur TX. This was B-HAM’s first feature on a nation wide album release. In 2002′ he began working with 777 inc. and formed a group known as “Hungry Lions”. A duo consisting of life long friend “Archie Slim” of “FlipDaScrip”. As the producer of 777 inc. “Lord Mayor AKA The 86er” and B-HAM began to work together aside from the group albums, they became not only partners in music but good friends. “The 86er” produced tracks that B-HAM gravitated to. Somehow the 86er had an unseen understanding of the specific sound that catered to B-HAM’s unique rapping style. Lord Mayor and B-HAM continued to make music that was so far from the norm that they both knew they were on the verge of a sound yet to be heard. Realizing this they both agreed that it was time to began working on B-HAM’s first official solo album. At this time Lord Mayor crowned B-HAM with his new alias “Righteous Rook”. At the start of the album B-HAM made connections with “Kinetic AKA Beretta 9” of Wu-Tang’s KillArmy, Wu-Tang’s “Solomon Childs” and the Abbot of the Wu-Tang Clan, “The RZA”. The album is now titled “Chess with the Devil” and will be released mid-summer 2010′. The album features above stated Wu-Tang Clan artists, his group “64Square” artists: “Ninja One”, “Yekeriel”, “Lord Mayor”, and “Azaryah”. Production by “Lord Mayor”, and “King Midas” of Houston’s super group: “H.I.S.D.” “Chess with the Devil” is being closely observed and anticipated by The Rza of the Wu-Tang Clan, Game Tite Records and many more major record labels. If you love HipHop then you will love “B-HAM the Righteous Rook”. An artist who will never conform to the norm yet somehow keeps his fan satisfied even if they want to hear the norm. His uncanny style touches you even if you dont want it to. He is by no doubt on the verge of something big..! If you dont know, now you know.

Thought I would hit you all with some news before I leave on vacay for the next week. The homie Malmoe got at me the other day about working  with & pushing Singapore Kane’s material to the massses. E-mail is as follows:

“In a nutshell…..I’m trying to link with whoever wants to link with me. But because of my lack of computer skillz (lol) I need to get with sites such as yours, dotgotit and so forth to help push my dude Singapore Kane. For the past year and a few months I’ve been getting it in with DGI and when needed, they’ve posted music and videos by Singapore Kane. He even did the intro and gave a song for their mixtape. I’m in the process of getting a few shirts made to show my appreciation. I was taught not to wear out my welcome so I really don’t ask anymore. But those are still my dudes over there and there’s no love lost ( I still fuck with DGI pretty heavy and consider myself a Council member). I look at all of us as the little guys compared to bigger artists/sites that try to lock the game and not let others in when it’s people like us that helped them get to where they are. So anyway, I’d like to see how could we benefit each other if you was to help promote Singapore Kane when he has songs, mixtapes, videos to post. This dude has been in the game for a good minute and is widely known so being his friend and also the owner of the label that is co-releasing his album, naturally I’m looking for a little more than the usual post that stays up for a day. I just need to know what you need on my end. I can get drops, exclusive recordings made just for you, logo posting on the digi mixtapes or on whatever clothing we get made to give out at shows. But it’s gotta be a good strong promotion and not the usual “heres a new track from….) posting. You feel me. To me cross promotion is the best because that way both parties help push the other’s awareness to the mass.”

Told him the Demiblogzillas at  HHB would def been down for this so keep your eyes peeled….
