This young MC is half of the deadliest new duo G-Clef calls “the new Gangstarr”, Blakout. You may have heard Midaz on the Midaz vs Muggs mixed version of Gza’s last album, or you may have heard him on Beretta 9’s last mixtape, but either way, he is a lyrical force to be reckoned with. Beretta 9 and Raekwon guest star along with many others on this rugged journey through the many styles of this true emcee. Blakout member Nemo produces many of the tracks, even one is produced by Beretta 9 himself!

The Gospel is FREE is a statement directed at how some people use
the bible as a monetary platform, it also correlates with the sale
of mixtapes with copyrighted material (for example: Dj Drama). The
Gospel is FREE is a 15 track offering that is composed of freeverses,
freestyles, and songs. I am offering this mixtape as a free download
and eventually it will be available in CD form (for FREE). I would
love for you to share this mixtape with at least 3-5 people and if
you are willing to review it great (I am open for criticism). All I ask is that you listen

Eternia is a female MC, a white female MC, I hate to mention that cause I never cared about “races” since we’re all people, but have you ever heard a dope white female MC before? I think I didn’t… She is from Canada and moved to New York 2 years ago. She released her critically acclaimed debut album called “It’s called life” back in ’05. It was a real personal album, she even included a short text about every track in the booklet, I always loved that, Kweli used to do it too. Since then she has experienced a lot, she was touring in the US, in Canada, Europe and Autralia. She just came back from a Tour in Europe with Reef the Lost Cauze, Pharoahe Monch and O.C. I’ve been to a show too, and it was crazy, she got a great energy on stage, I’d even go to a show to see her alone, no need for other headliners.

Brand Nubian exploded onto the hip-hop scene with One for All (Elektra, 1990) — a full-blown rap opus that drew equal and immediate comparisons to the upbeat musicality of De La Soul and the gritty realness of Poor Righteous Teachers (whose members, like the Nubians, were members of the Nation of Islam’s Five Percent cypher). Fire in the Hole (Babygrande, 2004) is the group’s fifth album, and it brims with much of the funky bravado and pointed social commentary for which Brand Nubian has always been known. What’s different this time out, though, is Lord Jamar’s emergence as a seasoned producer with groove-driven instincts galore.

Having logged time as a Nubian with everyone from Diamond D to DJ Premier to the legendary Lord Finesse, Jamar has kept his eyes and ears open while gradually building up his studio chops. “I kind of grew into it,” he says, recalling the early days of working with Grand Puba — well before Brand Nubian had even come together as a group. “Puba kind of showed me how to sample and make beats. During our first album, I did a lot of hanging over people’s shoulders, you know, watching what was going on. For the second album, when Puba went to do his own solo thing, some people thought they were gonna take advantage of me and [Sadat] X by giving us some half-assed beats and trying to charge us a whole bunch of money. We were like, ‘Listen, for the price of one beat, we can get some equipment and do it ourselves.’ And that’s basically what we did.

Release Notes:

An emcee and b-boy from Seattle Washington, representing Circle of Fire and Soulshifters B-Boy crews. Orbitron was born in South Central Los Angeles and raised in Seattle where he absorbed the underground hip hop scene. This is where Orbitron the B-Boy became Orbitron the Emcee, and has done multiple collaborations with other Seattle acts such as Blue Scholars and Common Market. This is his debut album with all production done by Seattle’s Big Zo, and all cuts by DJ Scene and DJ WD-40.

nefertiti shows that women arent just for soul and r&b, with crazy hard flow, she brings one of the freshest, hardest, dopest albums since boss was rappin the gangsta shiit, the best cut on this is with out a doubt, Mecca to watts, with hard hittin bass lines which drive your neck in to a everlasting wiplash. the other cuts are just as great with mad production by rakim and some other producers that makes the album a classic in my opinion. with slamming funk/gangsta beats and a women thats not afraid to tell em whos on the mic. some might say her flows reminds of salt-n-pepa, I say forgett salt-n-pepa it`s all about nefertiti.

archives, recorded between the ‘Hazardous’ and ‘Diabolique’
era.
Some of these tracks only existed on one-off tapes that were
given to Bobbito to play on his show back in the early-mid
’90’s. Some were scheduled for Don’s second album that never
got released… all are dope.
This project was made in conjunction with Godfather Don
himself, he gets a share of the money made from this limited
release.
I only ripped this cause it has sold out already, and some
may never hear these tracks!
All of the cuts were remastered and are of very good
quality.
