Yo, fam, what’s up? I’ve got a little business proposition for y’all. A good friend of mine and incredible emcee by the name of Subliminal Emcee is coming out with a mixtape soon, and his debut CD after that. He just put me on as his manager, so the first thing I think I should do is get him some proper beats, and I figure what better place than Strictly Beats. If you want to be on one of U.K.’s upcoming rapper’s mixtape and maybe album, than hit me up at my e-mail ([email protected]). I welcome all contributions and Subliminal is willing to work with people on a one-to-one basis as well. If your beat is hot, and Subliminal is feeling it, he will be willing to pay you, so keep that in mind (in other words, bring that fiyah!)

Here are some of his credentials:

Wassup Fam? Been a minute since my Last Post… I wanted to wait until I got everything up and running on my Blog & Space before I dropped this MASSIVE Post. So, before that, I gotta Hype my Spot’s real quick…

Strictly Tees Blog
Strictly Tees Myspace

I’ve been doing Screen-Printing for a LONG Time, and have usually done Custom Work for Friends… Finally I decided to break out on my own and get some Shit going. So, the Blog has alot of Designs that are currently available for Purchase. I’m not necessarily tryin to make a Business out of it, just wanting to get some Fresh Designs out to Heads, and possibly Profit from it a little too of course. So stop by over there, and see if there is something you like. You might say the name isn’t too original, but I like it, it was the first thing that came to mind. Plus, I’m using just “Strictly” for short as the Main Name on the Shirts. That way if I expand into other territories, it can apply to those, ie: Strictly Hoodies/Strictly Bandanas/etc… Here are some Design Examples:

WORD. That should give you an idea… Please stop by and hit me up at: [email protected], or on that Myspace. I’ll definately work with you on Pricing, Especially those of you I know from this Blog and Others… Just Show me some Love for showing Y’all so much Love with these Beats. Help a Brother Out… Alright, with that being said, let’s get on to this HUGE Post:

REQUESTS & RE-UPS:

I remember a few people asking about: Flying Lotus – Galapagos4 & Yppah. So here’s that:

Flying Lotus Discography: (All of these Links are From boardsofelectronica.blogspot.com, so go over there and show him some Love)

1983

Reset EP

Couldn’t Find any Covers For The Rest:

Raw Cartoons

July Heat

Demo 2006

Alright, up next we got some Galapagos4… I’m really surprised I haven’t upped this Meaty Ogre Disc yet. I’ve been blowin it because it’s a HOT Disc. I looped it for a while when I first got it. I Highly Recommend it, he’s one Damn Fine Producer. The Laced Instrumentals I’m only Re-Upping because they go with this Post. The “Best Of” is a whole bunch of Random Beats from the rest of the G4 Crew… All really good stuff, one of the most Underrated Crews out there in my opinion. And straight out of Chicago No less. Alright…

Meaty Ogre – Leo Vs. Pisces

Galapagos4 – Laced Instrumentals

Galapagos4 – Best Of Instrumentals

And now some Yppah… I can’t remember where I got this, but it’s DOPE, and I remember somebody asking about it a WHILE ago. I’ve been Re-Informed that he is actually from Houston, TX. Thanks Boogie & [on Hiatus]. Kind of a High-Paced Electronic Feel, but it’s Real Nice…

Yppah – You Are Beautiful At All Times

RANDOMS:

This is also something I’ve been meaning to Up for a while now… Alias & Ehren – Lillian. Now, I know that alot of you will say, “Oh, FUCK That Anticon Nerd Rap Noise”. I hope not, let’s keep it Diverse People… This is EASILY Alias’s Best Release. He combined Efforts with his Brother Ehren, who plays a Variety of Traditional Instruments. Those Instruments combined with Alias’s Trademark sound create a Musical Landscape that is Very Pleasing… I recommend this if you want to hear something different. It won’t disappoint.

Alias & Ehren – Lillian

FINALLY… Coming to a close of this Behemoth Post. Last I’m going to drop a whole bunch of shit from Zagar… Bossplayer turned me on to all these Dudes, and
they are NICE. Here’s the description from Discogs: “The story of the band started at the begin of the year 2001, when the three members of Yonderboi Quintet (Zságer, Kovács, Solymosi (aka DJ Bootsie) after the Shallow and Profound Tour started rehearsing separately from the Quintet. First they were performing as Pulzus. The material they have put together durring the rehearsals and the earlier solo works of Balázs Zságer were synthesized and have created the characteristic sounds of the new band.”

This is some HOT Shit right here people… These are all Compilations that I have made from the Full Albums, cut out the Lyric/Bad Tracks, and these are Just the Pure Goods. I recommend ALL of it.

Yonderboi – Greatest Hits Pt.1

Yonderboi – Greatest Hits Pt.2

DJ Bootsie – The Silent Partner

Zagar – Greatest Hits

Alright… Well that does it. I hope I don’t Kill anybody’s Hard-Drives. I got some More ILL Shit to post soon, but I’m gonna Break for awhile. See how the Strictly Tees Response goes. Plus, I’m Copy & Pasted The Fuck Out… But, Enjoy This Shit People! I recommend every Post in here. And stop by My Blog, show me some Love, or spread the word. I would appreciate it VERY MUCH. Thanks Again. PEACE…

Underground West Coast emcee Contribution X has been making noise at open mics and Hip-Hop spots for awhile, but here, just for all you fans of the grimiest, darkest Hip-Hop styles, comes “Dark Destiny” his commercially available album. His gruff emcee style shows old school roots and a clear understanding of whats important to make real Hip-Hop music. Featured on this extravangza of creepiness are Monk from Black Knights, Christ Apostle of Swordsmen, Beretta 9 of Killarmy, and DJ Gloss of Project Blowed fame. Production includes the Gza of Wu-Tang Clan, Kinetic (Beretta 9), and others. This album should not be slept on!

Release Notes:

Buck 65 was on the tip of everyone’s tongues in 2005 with his critically
acclaimed record, This Right Here Is Buck 65, lauded by Rolling Stone, Spin,
Entertainment Weekly, Blender, the New York Times, CMJ, Alternative Press, URB,
XLR8R, Remix, and Magnet, among others. While Buck found great success in
America, his label V2 was on its last legs and, following his record’s release,
folded. While waiting to get through the red tape, he made a record with
Tortoise (which saw no American release), moved to Paris, fell in love, scored a
film, won a Juno (he also co-hosted said awards show with Pamela Anderson), and
toured the globe. He settled in after all that and made his most realized work
yet: Situation.

Situation serves as Buck 65’s first LP to be released in the United States since
his blow-up from This Right Here is Buck 65. With its basis centered around the
many defining events of 1957, Situation recognizes the true creation of
underground and independent culture that happened 50 years ago and the enticing
idea that we are on the cusp of a similar renaissance. And while Buck 65’s music
truly defines its own genre, Situation is a raw and powerful return to classic
hip-hop delivered in Buck 65’s seasoned style.

Optimus Rhyme is a hip hop quartet from Seattle, Washington, occasionally aided by Rapper Broken English. Optimus Rhyme combines rapped hip hop lyrics with a fusion of Funk-Rock music. They are considered nerdcore hip hop because their lyrics re-tell the story of the Transformers Generation 1 series mixed with their views on the commercial music industry and modern society, which has earned them performances at the Penny Arcade Expo. The name Optimus Rhyme is based on a Transformers character (Optimus Prime), as are all of the band’s stage names.
Wheelie Cyberman – Vocals
Broken English – Guest Vocals
Powerthighs – Guitars
Stumblebee – Bass
Grimrock – Drums
Galaxion Waxspin – DJ (former mbr)
Thundercracker – Drums (former mbr)

Story

The year was 2000. The Wackacons had invaded the Emerald City. Parties grew listless and nightclubs suffered greatly under the Wackacons’ ever-growing influence. Repetitive loop manufacturers, lackluster DJs and angst-filled metal pushers aligned with the Wackacons and quickly flourished in our once-great city. It was later that year when fate brought four independently minded Autobeat technicians together. Instantly, their positronic brainpaths fused. Within weeks, laid-back progressive hip-hop beats were mixed with brutally brain-teasing rhymes

***** its nerdcore….its funny as hell though. Wheelie Cyberman reminds me of Del (Heiro and Deltron 3030). I loved The Transformers when i was a kid so i had to get this. I expected nothing and was pleasantly surprised. So now i bring to you…

Roaring in from outside of Boston comes Melodesiac, a nine piece hip-hop band that mixes a variety of styles into a wholly original sound. Having opened for such national touring acts as Blackalicious, Guster, and The Slip, the band is taking the next step in their career with the release of their new CD, “Hands High.”

It was never the intention of founding members Shahan Nercessian (guitar), Ben Bornstein (drums) and Aaron Mehta (bass) to form a band so large that they have trouble fitting on some stages. “We just started talking to people around campus and by the time the first practice rolled around, we had a ton of people just showing up,” laughs Nercessian. The band eventually settled on the nine person unit that it is today, adding Arlen Spiro (keys) to round out the rhythm section, and then joined with Yoni Dvorkis (alto), Nehemiah Green (tenor) and James Harris (baritone) to create the sax section. Alone, the seven jazz trained musicians would be a formidable group, but the lyrical coup de grace comes from the duo of Robert Brentley Patterson and Lawrence “eLCee” Charles.

Over the past year and a half, the band has created a solid fanbase in and around the Boston area, fully drawing on the power of their live show. Whether opening up the song to one of Yoni’s devastating alto solos or letting Ben rip a beat apart on the drums, the musical talent of the band shows through- as does the energy. It’s not uncommon for strings or sticks to break in the middle of a song, as all nine members jump around on stage. “It can get a little troublesome when we’re all stuck together on a little stage meant for three people,” reminisces Charles, “but we make it work.” The band has made it work, having placed third out of over 250 bands in the Emergenza Boston regional competition, where they packed some of Boston’s top clubs. The other bands in the finals voted them as the overall favorite among performers.

While all nine met at Tufts University, outside of Boston, the band is made up of individuals from diverse ethnic and geographic backgrounds, with members from California, Massachusetts, New York and Texas. These personal histories bleed into the music. “Live This Way,” the band’s ode to the mistakes people make, is rife with middle eastern sounds, while the aptly titled “Latin One” revolves around an Afro-Cuban montuno, with Lawrence moving in and out of Spanish over the beat. “What They Say” starts off with a dirty southern crunk beat and then explodes into a chorus designed for headbanging in a mosh pit. Whether it comes from “No Man Test,” the band’s homage to roots reggae, or from the Tribe Called Quest influenced “Believe,” Melodesiac moves from style to style with ease. And while the club ready “Come Thru” has Brent and El getting down, the lyrics are at their best on songs such as “Breakdown,” where the pair rhyme about the victims of Katrina, racism and their own pasts.

Now with the 12 song “Hands High,” the band is ready to move onto the next step. “The first few years… these were training, essentially,” says Mehta. “It’s time to see what’s out there.”

Old school hip-hoppers, active as graf writers, producers and rappers, Stieber Twins from Heidelberg, Germany. This is an instrumental album they put out just recently.
Heads still remember them for the breakbeats they did in the early 90s, or their first and only album “Fenster zum Hof”, on which they produced and rapped. At the time, they were easily the most coveted producers for remixes and original beats. Now, they’re more visible as DJs at parties and as producers of instrumental ish. And they’ve still got it. Dope.

When you purchase Ego clapper on UGHH.com you will also get the UGHH Exclusive concept album, Esoteric vs. Gary Numan – “Pterodactyl Tubeway”.
The year is 1981 and Esoteric faces off with the electro / new wave sound of 80’s synth pioneer Gary Numan. The result is a space age plethora of brand new tracks, anchored by Numan’s moog keys and Esoteric’s golden age of hip-hop sensibility. Tracks like “Deathless Fascination,” “Numan Crack In The Flesh” and General Zod” bring the cold, mechanical world of Gary Numan and integrate it with the post-apocalyptic setting of Esoteric’s hyperactive mind. Chemical restraints are required. All tracks produced by Esoteric.”
